I found MD Machine Services on LinkedIn a few months back. I had a Drott (mobile crane) that needed the steering cylinders rebuilt. I found out that they discontinued making the rebuild kits for them and the supplier I was working with offered to sell me new ones. Low and behold, I got on LinkedIn one day and saw where MD Machinery custom repairs cylinders. I made a phone call and a few emails, and in a couple of days, they were picking up my cylinders to rebuild them. They were up front about letting me know if the cylinders needed any further repair prior to rebuilding them. I had pictures sent to me showing where the shafts had to be re-chromed. We were in the middle of a large turn around at a local refinery when we had the main boom hoist cylinder in our 45 Ton Tadano RT start to leak. We had to service the issue as soon as possible because the availability of another crane wasn’t possible at the time. We reached out to the manufacture and a replacement cylinder was 7 weeks out and wouldn’t be acceptable to our customer. We then contacted MD Machine Services and was told they would come pickup the cylinder from our shop…complete the repair…and deliver it back to us in less then a week! I would just like to thank MD Machinery on the great job on rebuilding our Atlas Copco hammer. This was the first time that we ever sent a hydraulic hammer to be rebuilt out of shop, and from here on out we will always use MD Machinery. The turn around time from start to finish was less then ten days from the first time we spoke to MD Machine Services. Our hammer was picked up at our shop on Long Island the next day and within a day after we received a reasonable full rebuild quote. MD Machine Services kept us posted throughout the build and there were no hidden surprises or extra fees when the hammer was complete.
